I am from lazytown
From the peanut shoppe and black licorice that tasted like coffee without creamer.
I am from the handprints on the backdoor when I get excited upon the first snow of the year (every detail of my fingerprint down to the t plastered on the glass)
I am from the lakes of michigan.
The late night catfish catching and burning embers erupting from the fire infront of me into the skies above, whose nights I remember and crave yet very deeply.
Im from turtlenecks and flared out jeans
From justice and claires.
Im from the populars and the outcasts.
And the jocks and band kids.
From Get Up For School! Get Down From There!
Im from barbie and ken shopping
Like a really needed yet another.
Im from the horse swing hanging from the cherry tree
Bunk beds and crinkled sheets.
Under the sun existed myself laying beneath, soaking up all the vitamin e that it would offer, reminising all these thoughts that seem to drift through my mind whenever i was at peace or comfort with myself. I am from all these moments, from these moments I live for the most.
From scarlet killing mustard in the dining room to the mosquitos sitting at the screen door; waiting to be let in our camper.
From I am at peace. Peace and serendipity.
